 Asha was the 1st in this body painting series, she wanted me to paint her to start off the first in her series of birthday photos to chronicle her growth over the next 10 years.  We had a great time catching up and are both looking forward to more body paintings to celebrate her special day!

My new drawing for Discover Roxbury's 3rd Annual Black & White Party. The event is tonight and I just heard that all the tickets sold out! Attire is black & white, this is the first year they've had a contest for the best dressed man and woman. I'm designing and sewing my outfit, I WILL WIN the contest!

Happy Snow Day!

The forecast said we were only supposed to get a few inches of snow yesterday and today, but when I woke up and looked out the window this morning, it looked like a repeat of the BIG snowstorm we had a few weeks ago. It was hard to believe when I heard that one of the school departments I work with is having school today??! Thank goodness I wasn't scheduled to teach today, I had some planning things to do in one of my schools, but it wasn't worth trudging through the snow on public transportation, so I'm enjoying a well deserved Snow Day off at home with my hubby (oh course, I'll do a little planning stuff here at home :-)
